| Fans Flock to Watch Robert Pattinson in Dying Scene |

Robert Pattinson realised how obsessive his fans were when they came to watch his dying scene in New Moon.
The 23-year-old British actor - who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the hit movie franchise - was amazed at how far some fans travelled just to get a glimpse of the shoot.
He told the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper: "I have a scene in the new movie where I'm about to reveal myself in the sunlight, which will mean the death of Edward Cullen. We shot it in a town square in Italy and it was the closest moment I came to realising the fan attachment to this character.
"People from around the world heard about the filming and flew into that town square to see Edward Cullen die. Most wanted to stop him from taking that one step into the light. Honestly, I felt this weight of anticipation and the responsibility to the fans who are obsessed with these stories."
The screen heartthrob - who has achieved worldwide recognition since playing the handsome bloodsucker - has previously spoken about how he struggled to cope with fame and nearly "lost it".
He said: "I was getting really paranoid. It's not always easy. But whining won't change anything."

| Nicole Kidman Says Robert Pattinson is "a Really Fine Actor" |

 While Nicole Kidman had been rumored to star alongside "New Moon" heartthrob Robert Pattinson in the upcoming flick "Bel Ami," it was later announced that the Oscar-winning actress would not be involved after all.
Kidman recently told MTV News that the two were in talks to star together in the film about journalist Georges Duroy (Pattinson) and his rise to the top of Parisian high society in the 1890s. Kidman would have played Madeline Forestier, Duroy's onetime mentor.
"I was [in talks for it], and we couldn't work out the dates," Kidman said.
Just because she hasn't acted alongside Pattinson yet doesn't mean she hasn't checked out his previous work. "He's great," she said, adding that she had seen "Twilight." "I haven't seen the new one ['New Moon']."
The actress said Pattinson has that something special and foresees a long career for him in Hollywood, so maybe their paths could cross on a movie set one day. "I think he's a really fine actor, actually, because he wants to be great," she said. "He's working with the right people."
Although no female lead has been cast for "Bel Ami," Pattinson said in May the actress who will take on the role "needs to be literally inspirational." And speaking of inspirational women, Pattinson described Jenny Lumet, who wrote the screenplay, as "a genius," saying that her script really connected with him.
"Bel Ami" is scheduled to start shooting in Paris next year. Pattinson managed to draw some parallels between his character in "Bel Ami" and Edward Cullen from "Twilight," saying, "They're both about commitment."

 VANCOUVER - Vampires and werewolves have different fitness needs, says local trainer Nathan Mellalieu.
“Vampires are designed to be elegant, I think,” says Mellalieu, owner of Studeo 55, where he says he and his staff worked out about 15 of the cast of Eclipse, the latest in the Twilight series to be filmed in Vancouver.
The second film in the teenage vampire saga, New Moon, opens in theatres on Thursday.
“Werewolves are a little more rugged,” Mellalieu says. “They’re a little brawnier, a little bit bigger, a little more raw.”
In addition to getting characters looking buff — including Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson,) Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) and Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene) — it was important to get them ready for action, he says.
“One of the big priorities the movie gave us is making sure these guys not only looked great but were in really great, peak physical condition,” he says, demonstrating a few moves from a workout he coined the Betsy, after a female cast member’s middle name.
“They had to be prepared to do these epic battle scenes,” he says. “They needed to be able to jump and leap and swipe and throw and jab — all these dynamic, combat-based moves that were unique.”
Depending on an actor’s character, different exercises were needed. Vampires had to look “like supermodels with superpowers,” he says, while the wolves could be brawnier and bigger.
He walks through a martial arts area where he worked with Pattinson.
“With Robert, he loved the martial arts stuff, and he was quite talented at that,” Mellalieu says. “He’s got really great hand speed.”

My friend Nick and I had to miss school just so we could get the tickets :) You totally rock and even though I'm sitting right at the back, that doesn't matter to me because you know what? 10,000 Twilight fans jolted out of their sleeping bag and quickly inhaled venti sized caffeine drinks to approach this magnificent day. As we speak, fans are enjoying the last moments of silence before earth-shattering screams begins when Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner arrive on The Twilight Saga: New Moon red carpet. As fans wait in anticipation, they tweets updates, they quietly trade Twilight war stories about driving three days to get here, and in the front of the line you will hear stories of fans lining up since last Thursday. It is a glorious day and we are only hours away from the live New Moon premiere and the world is watching.

Imagine for a minute somebody else other than Robert Pattinson playing Edward Cullen.
Yeah, neither can we.
But it could have been the case had Twilight saga costar Kellan Lutz followed through on repeated requests by the powers that be to audition for the role.
"I was doing [HBO's] Generation Kill and was sent the script in Africa," Kellan told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Monday morning. "I put it off, then finally read it and by the time I got back to L.A., they said, 'OK, are you ready to audition for Edward?'
"I said, 'I don't want to play Edward. He's too complex, too depressing for me.'"
